Wedding Videography FAQs
How long will my film be?
As standard we provide a feature length film which includes the ceremony, speeches & first dance in their entirety. The length depends entirely on the duration of these key points in the day. At request we can also edit a highlights film which is shorter meaning you can share it easily online!
Can we choose our own music?
Absolutely! We ask you to list us 10 - 15 songs of your choice which we choose from to add into the video. Otherwise we have a lengthly backlog of music which we can choose from. We always make sure the music is appropriate for the shots.
Can we meet before the wedding?
Unlike Photographers, we don't include a consultation in our prices as it's not necessary. We film in a documentary style, meaning we cover things as they happen and don't set up any shots. This is part of remaining discreet! If you would like to arrange a phone call, we can accommodate this however most things are via email at the time of booking.
How much is the deposit?
We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £100 at the time of booking
Will filming be discreet and unobstrusive?
We have had many comments from our clients saying how much they are surprised we managed to capture during the day as they didn't notice us there! We are discreet with our filming style during the day, we don't set up any shots so we capture things as and when they happen. The only times we might be more obvious is during important parts of the day such as the ceremony and speeches.
How long after the wedding will the film be ready?
To create a film to the standard we produce takes time so we set the completion date at an estimated 6-8 weeks from the wedding date. We don't rush our edits, we spend the time carefully crafting your wedding film to ensure we create the best wedding film possible. It does require a little patience on your part but its worth the wait!
Do we have to feed you on the day?
Short answer, Yes! Long answer, we are with you for a large portion of the day, and we ask you to provide us with food for each of our videographers. Don’t worry, we don’t expect to sit down with you and your guests. If you ask the venue about staff meals for the videographers they will provide options.
We’d like to get our wedding filmed, but the price seems so expensive. Why is this?
Keep in mind, the hours and cost involved with: Administration, enquiries, marketing, gear (cameras, tripods, audio recording equipment, lighting, and a bunch of special tools to help us get some amazing shots), gear maintenance, transport, organising schedules, preparation (charging batteries, cleaning lenses, clearing cards), filming, editing (downloading footage, watching through, cutting down, choosing music, story-telling, sound syncing, touching up, exporting, uploading) Wedding Videography is a huge, detailed, and time consuming process. If we didn’t charge what we did, the product would suffer.
Do you cover destination Weddings?
Definitely! The package costs stay the same, all we ask is for you to cover our flight and accommodation costs.
How long do you keep a copy of our wedding footage?
We keep your Raw footage files for 6 months and the edited video for 1 year. Any additional copies must be ordered within this time.
How do I book/pay?
Get in touch via email on 'firstname.lastname@example.org' to enquire about your date. We will then provide you with pricing details and should you want to book, we will send a link to our online booking form and ask for the non-refundable deposit to be paid.
